Emergency Care
Registered Patients
We attempt to see all of registered NHS patients promptly. Please ring us early in the day. If your dentist is fully booked, you may have to see one of our other dentists. We aim to see you within 24 hours of calling. On some occasions when we are full to capacity at your normal practice, we may ask you to travel to the other surgery (15 minutes drive between the two practices).
Outside of our normal opening times and on bank holidays, please contact the NHS 111 service which is a free 24 hour number to call. Link: www.nhs.uk.
Non-Registered Patients
Rayner Dental Practice is able to offer emergency appointments to non-registered patients on an independent ‘ Pay as you go’ basis.
It is very important you understand the following:
- There is a £55 charge for the emergency assessment PLUS the treatment cost to help get you out of pain. We ask for the £55 assessment charge to be paid up front before this appointment will be booked. If you fail to attend your appointment, you will not be refunded.
- This appointment is a one-off emergency/occasional appointment and does not constitute registration at the practice.
- Please be aware this appointment is to deal with your pain only – no other teeth will be examined. If you wish continuing care elsewhere, you can ring the NHS 111 service to find out about local practices taking on patients under the NHS, ring around local practices who provide continuing private care or ask the dentist you are seeing if there are private or NHS spaces available under his/her care at this practice.
